I’ve said it several times this month… This is a birthday month for me. July is the month when I was born, but September marks the month when I started my business. I am celebrating in several ways. We are having a day of mini sessions (with crazy mini prices) in September. I am shooting a wild “trash the family” session coming up. I am giving away 2 photography sittings at the “Mom to Mom” Sale at Trinity Lutheran Church on September 25th. And I am doing another giveaway sitting on facebook.
This month has been a time of reflection for me. I have thought back to my first family, first senior, first wedding. I have thought about all of the wild situations Heather and I have been in on wedding days (shoveling snow and steaming the wedding dress, to recall just a couple). I’ve thought about the last picture I took of my Grandpa before he passed, and taking a new babies very first picture, even before they have taken a full breath.
This leads me to a contest!
I am going back through 5 years of images and pulling out the ones that really caught me. Pictures that I took and had to feel lucky for the opportunity to take them. Pictures that I realized would be a favorite of mine, even from the second I pushed down the button. Images that I look back on for inspiration before a shoot. Pictures that just make me laugh. These are my favorites.
There is a prize! The contestants will be the people (or animals) in these images. All of the pictures are loaded to a facebook album. You can vote for your favorite by “liking” a picture in the album. You can vote for multiple pictures, if you want. The winner will be given a sitting and a few other fun surprises. Voting continues through September and the winner (who has the most “likes”) will be announced October 1st.
