Dan and Christen’s wedding was quite a wedding.  After weeks of 90 to 100 degree temperatures, they were gifted with a wedding day temp that barely reached 80 degrees.

They had a beautiful set-up at Crystal Gardens in Edwardsville.

They had very fun family and friends, including some of the most attentive bridesmaids I have ever had the joy of working with.  (True story – I barely got to fluff Christen’s train!  Every time I would get her situated and start poofing the dress, I had one or two bridesmaids side swipe me out of position so that they could do the honors.  I asked said bridesmaids to accompany me for every wedding in the future.  Really.)

This was also a military wedding, so after the wedding ceremony, there was a Saber Ceremony.  Very cool.

So here we go!  Dan and Christen did not see each other until their ceremony, so we started with separate shots.

Then I got to work with the rings a little.  Christen was getting a surprise ring that she was not expecting.

Here is a closer look at the bling:  (from bottom to top, his ring, surprise bling, ring she was expecting)

Then it was time for the ceremony:

And then the Saber Ceremony:

If you have ever seen this ceremony, you know what is going on right here!

Then I was able to work with the couple together.  We did not have much time, and the bridesmaids should totally be commended for helping with the poofing and anything else the bride needed.

Then on to the party:

It was a wonderful day, Dan and Christen.  Many blessings on your future!
