sweet little d | jill heupel photography

This was an amazing shoot, and a shoot that reminded me how lucky I am to get to do what I do.

We started out at a local farm with a very reluctant 3 year old.  D has had her photos taken by a studio photographer for a few years, so she was not used to having so much fun during her shoot.  She was not used to playing around during her photo shoot and being a natural, active, playful kid.  I am so excited that I got to show little D that a photo shoot can be a lot of fun.  I am thrilled to think of what these images will mean to her when she is a teenager, a new mother, a middle aged woman.  Oh, how lucky I am!

Our first location, D was quiet and stayed very close to her Mom and Dad.  By the second location, she was ready to play!  D played the drums for me, she chased her Daddy, she smelled flowers, read books, poked a bug, told some knock-knock jokes, ate a cupcake, and finished by singing a song about how much she loved her Mom and Dad.  It was golden.

I have to give some big points to Mom for finding the gorgeous green dress for little D on ETSY.  I love etsy and I love people who prep for their shoot on etsy.

It was really hard to narrow down the images for this blog post.  There are so many from this shoot that make me smile.  Here are a few of one of the cutest little girls in the world!

Thanks for coming out for a great shoot, and for trusting me about locations and props.  You guys are awesome!
