You know that feeling when you have known people throughout the growth of their family? You’ve seen their newborn pictures of their first child, several family sessions with that little boy, and then the newborn pictures of their little girl? Then try to imagine one more family session with those fun people before littlest is even crawling. Now imagine being the person who has had the job of taking all of those pictures. It is a lot of responsibility, and a lot of faith they have in me to continue creating meaningful portraits for them.
One thing that is special about the “H” family is their locations. They come to me with ideas for their shoot, rather than me presenting a variety of ideas to them. I love what they have come up with in the past, and I have to add that the clothing and styling is spot on.
They have also worked with me long enough to know what is coming next. When I have the family squished together in a pile of leaves, they look at the camera and smile for a few frames and then start loving on the kids. They just get it. I love that.
So here is their session in a nutshell:
“H” family… I have spent so much time with you in the last 4 years. I feel like I should add you to the Heupel Family Christmas card list. Thanks for trusting me with your family and for not sending me tumbling out of a golf cart while racing up that hill. 😉
