It would be hard to sum up Shawn and Kayla’s wedding in words.  It was a gorgeous wedding with lots of thoughtful details, and a vintage feel to it.  Kayla and Shawn are so sweet, and their wedding party was a hoot.  Sweet flower girls and ring bearers, attention to details, flowers everywhere.  It was a day to remember.

Here we go:

Kayla is on her way to her first meet in the picture above.  Kayla and Shawn decided to stick with tradition, so Shawn did not get to see Kayla until she walked down the aisle.  They did, however, meet for a few minutes and Shawn tried to get the gist of her gorgeous dress in that time…

Did I mention that the flowers were gorgeous???

I could get used to weddings where the guys keep me laughing…

Wedding time!

Then it was time to work with Shawn and Kayla together, as well as the wedding party.

And on to the reception…

And my very last image of the night was Kayla with her Mom and Grandmothers.

Shawn and Kayla, I love-loved capturing your wedding day.  All of my team had fun and your joy was contagious.  Blessings on your new life together!

A good wedding season is where each new wedding is my new favorite wedding of all time.  It is a great place to be, week after week, working with such fun and special couples and their families.  Eric and Jenny are no different.

They decided to go with a first look.  Whew!  It was so fun!  It set a relaxed and fun atmosphere for the rest of the day.  We were able to get LOTS of pictures of the bride and groom, as well as the wedding party.  I <3 first looks…

Then we headed to another location for some fun with the wedding party.

Then it was on to the wedding.  Jenny and Eric got to use Eric’s Grandpa’s car after the wedding!

Because we were ahead of schedule, we hit one more location for pictures on our way to the reception…

Then on to the reeption.  I have to note that I heard the best toasts EVER at this reception.

Eric and Jenny, thank you so, so much for letting me document your wedding day.  Blessings on your future!

This was a great wedding.  It  might have been 97 degrees, and an outside wedding, in MAY of all times.  But the couple, the details, the families, the wedding was amazing.  The couple did a first look, which was so sweet.  I loved how they got to spend so much time with each other and with their guests on their wedding day.  I also loved the details!  Erin did a great job on all the little things about their wedding day.

Check it out:

Erin and Matt did a first look.  It was so sweet to have Matt walk down the bridge to Erin.  I loved their reaction to each other and getting to capture it for them.

Matt and Erin, I wish you a lifetime of happiness.  Thanks for letting me be there!

There are so many reasons why after sessions are so valuable.  The wedding day often passes in a blur.  Wedding portraits are done when they can, and not necessarilly in the best location or most flattering light.  And most girls love, love being in their dress.  It passes too quickly.

Jake and Jessica met me this morning for their after session.  They are still glowing with newlywed smiles.  They are making me think back to their beautiful wedding and the joy of that day.  Here they are:

Thanks for braving the early morning light.
