kaitlin at the zoo | jill heupel photography

You might remember one of these two sisters from her engagement session last week at the St. Louis Zoo.

Christen and Kaitlin are cool like that, so we went ahead and did Kaitlin’s senior pictures at the same time.

Here are a handful from her fun shoot:

Thanks for a fun shoot, Kaitlin!

dan and christen | jill heupel photography

I am very much looking forward to Christen and Dan’s wedding.  I love, love that they took me someplace unique and memorable for their engagement session.

Christen and Dan, amazing.  Next time will be even better!

bubbie the cat | jill heupel photography

This is Bubbie, one of the most loved and cherished cats I have met.

I am a dog person.  I take a special pride in the fact that I single handedly turned my husband from a cat person to a dog person in a matter of 30 days.  {You probably don’t believe me, but he lived with three cats for most of his childhood.  Within a month of marriage, we adopted a border collie.  And we all lived together in our small little apartment.  A small apartment, a border collie and newlyweds.  I knew from that day that this man truly loved me!}

I’m not running out to find myself a cat, but there is definitely something special about Bubbie.

He love-love-loves his Mama…  He comes when he is called.  And his home has lots and lots of pictures of Bubbie.  Totally cherished cat.

This dog-loving, cat-avoiding photographer has to admit that Bubbie was a pretty cool cat.

I’m not sure what brought on this week, but stay tuned for another studio-cat session next week!

otto | jill heupel photography

In January, we had a huge pup related giveaway.  There were two winners, and both of them were from out of state.  Because our winners were not close enough to win the photography prize package, the two runner-ups were given the photo shoot package.  Otto was a runner up!

This is Otto.  He is looooooooved!

See?  Really loved!

And fast.  Look at that super-sonic tale.  There was no getting 100% of Otto in focus…

We actually had to stop for a second to wipe nose prints off my lens!

He also has a gorgeous family.

And they love him so much!  He is a lucky, lucky dog.

Oh, and he is a model.

Pat and Amanda, nice work being runners up in the “Cutest Pup” contest.  You gave it such a good run, and it paid off!  Otto was so sweet and fun to work with.

I hope he got that bone we talked about!

eli | jill heupel photography

This is Eli.  He is quite possibly the most loved little boy in the whole world.  He gave me some serious “I want more babies” fever.  I can’t wait to watch you grow up, little Eli!

As a reminder, I like to give back to families established through adoption.  Within a year of your adoption, I would be happy to give you a complimentary session and a credit to use towards your pictures.  If you are not an adoptive parent, feel free to pass my name on to those that you know.
