This is William. He is adorable. William is officially, the_cutest_child I have photographed.
William’s last photo shoot was around the 4th of July, and he was terrified of the flash that he thought would come off of my camera. He associated cameras to flashes, and flashes to fireworks. He was not such a smiley guy when he noticed my camera. I don’t use flash on little guys, but William was not having any of that talk. So throughout the shoot, I got a lot of this…
and this…
and this. William, I love the Seinfeld stink-eye. I know you were trying to get me to put the camera down, but I couldn’t stop thinking about the pizza shop gang giving Kramer the stink-eye. You perfected it!
So we got a little creative with William. There was some hiding behind trees. There was shooting a quick picture and then putting my camera down before he realized what was going on. There was great distraction from Mom and Dad. And there were leaves. Thank you, thank you, thank you for leaves.
Not so bad after all, right William?
I think it is important for parents to realize that I don’t expect their children to be perfect angels for their shoot. The best shoots come about when families are willing to be real together. Take the pressure off. Have some fun together. I will do the rest.
